A State of Confusion
by
Mark Jones
For a while I thought the sun would break through.
There was a time that I thought, I would not be so blue.
I thought that perhaps a great friend I had found,
Whose patience, understanding, and trust would abound.
We talked and we learned of each other's true lives,
We laughed and we joked til each of us cried.
There was nothing that either was afraid to share,
from our darkest fantasy to the TRUE color of our hair.
We ranted, we raved, the discussions were deep.
We listened to each other, even when we needed sleep.
Then all of a sudden, for some reason unkown,
we hardly talk at all, not even on the phone.
I wish I still had you, to talk to and confide in,
to help and comfort you, and make you smile again.
Maybe one day our paths again will cross
and maybe this won't seem like such a horrible loss.
Until that day, I wish for you the best,
'cause you were a great friend, and deserve nothing less.
Take care my good friend and be good to yourself,
let no one disrupt you, or put you on a shelf.
Next time you feel down and really need a friend,
I'll be here waiting, on that you can depend.
The time we had was a wonderful while,
and each time I think of you, it causes a smile.
So, with this verse I am saying goodbye
to you my friend, may our friendship never die.
Thanks Gorgeous.
